Delivery and installation of electrical equipment at a Line 15 metro station in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, Val-de-Marne (94) near Paris
The Bovis Group, a specialist in heavy and delicate handling, recently completed a turnkey operation as part of the Grand Paris project. Our Bovis Transports agency, based in Fleury-Mérogis (91), managed the delivery and installation of electrical equipment for an underground Line 15 metro station in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés.
A Tailored Logistic and Technical Service
This project mobilized our expertise in logistics, specialized handling, and lifting operations.
Key Steps of Our Intervention:
Transport and Logistic Storage:
Loading and transporting electrical equipment, including Low Voltage Main Distribution Panels (TGBT) and transformers, from the manufacturer’s warehouse in the Eure department (27).
Temporary storage in our strategically located logistics hubs north and south of Paris, enabling optimized delivery management.
Consolidation and identification of elements for each installation phase.
Preparation and Pre-Delivery Checks:
Loading equipment with strict packing list verification, ensuring traceability of every item.
On-Site Technical Handling:
Deployment of our 100-ton mobile crane near the designated technical access point (as identified during a prior site visit).
Delimiting the lifting area and fully securing the worksite.
Lowering and Installation Underground:
Slinging of equipment by our certified rigger, guided by the site supervisor.
Lowering the equipment 15 meters into the technical shaft using the crane.
Receiving the equipment at the base of the shaft by our handlers and precisely placing it on pre-marked floor positions.
Ground handling: moving the TGBTs using cabinet trolleys with extensions, ensuring safe and smooth handling.
Finalization and Wrap-Up:
Installing the components on the RATP recovery platform.
Dismantling and removing used materials and packaging.
Proven Expertise in Complex Technical Handling
This project was characterized by its high level of complexity, due to the underground nature of the site and the challenges of handling heavy, fragile electrical equipment. Thanks to our expertise and advanced equipment, our teams successfully met this challenge while adhering to the strict safety and precision standards required by the project.
The success of this operation once again demonstrates the Bovis Group’s ability to deliver bespoke solutions that combine advanced logistics and specialized handling. With cutting-edge equipment and highly skilled professionals, we actively contribute to building the infrastructure of the future.
