Île-de-France
The Bovis Group, an expert in specialized handling and sensitive transfers, recently assisted the CNRS in consolidating two of its sites into a modern building designed to accommodate state-of-the-art research laboratories in Essonne (91), south of Paris.
Over the course of six weeks, a team of six specialized movers managed the transfer of scientific equipment and laboratory infrastructure. This complex mission involved the relocation of two distinct buildings:
Thanks to rigorous planning and methodical execution, the move was carried out smoothly, ensuring the continuity of CNRS’s research activities.
Laboratory equipment transport requires special precautions to prevent any damage to sensitive materials. To meet these requirements, our team utilized:
We specifically handled the transfer of laminar flow hoods, essential for laboratory work, as well as all benchtop equipment, ensuring their safety and proper functioning upon arrival.
A meticulous packaging process was carried out beforehand using protective materials such as foam, bullcraft, and plastic film, ensuring maximum security during transport.
Optimized Management of Non-Transferred Equipment
Beyond the relocation, our mission also included the management of non-transferred equipment, ensuring secure disposal or repurposing of obsolete materials through appropriate waste management solutions.
Thanks to Bovis Transports' expertise in laboratory transfers, CNRS successfully moved into its new facility with complete peace of mind. This project once again demonstrates Bovis Group’s ability to meet the demanding standards of research institutions, offering a turnkey service with strict adherence to deadlines and technical constraints.
