CO2 Objective Charter

The BOVIS Group is committed to the environment: our Bovis Transports agency is committed to the EVE (Voluntary Commitment for the Environment) programme and the Objectif CO2 charter

Let's commit to a sustainable future!

CO2 Objective CharterAs an environmentally conscious company, our agency Bovis Transports is committed to the EVE programme: Voluntary Commitment to the Environment.

By supporting the Target CO2 initiative, we have set ourselves a clear goal: to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions by 5% over the next 3 years.

This approach is being carried out on the Bovis Transports entity for the period 2023-2025 and will subsequently be extended to the entire group.

To achieve this, we have identified 4 strategic axes that will guide our actions:

Vehicle Axis: Tyre fleet management – regrooving and retreading of tyres

Tyres can potentially go through four stages during their lifetime. Tire regrooving and retreading is an important improvement solution for the BOVIS Group to reduce its environmental impact. Indeed, good tyre maintenance reduces air pollutant emissions and noise emissions. It also makes it possible to achieve significant fuel savings (1.5% consumption for the use of a regrooved tyre on a vehicle) while increasing their lifespan. This also contributes to the safety of our drivers, which is not negligible given the company's daily activity: the transport of goods.

Driver Axis: Eco-driving performance management system

Within the BOVIS company, training with initial awareness of eco-driving is in place. However, in order to sustain the environmental and financial gains made through eco-driving, it is necessary to go beyond a training and awareness-raising system. To make lasting changes in driver behaviour, BOVIS wants to set up an eco-driving performance system that consists of financially rewarding the most virtuous drivers. The company's objective is to further improve its environmental impact by achieving a CO2 gain of around 10% over 1 year.

Fuel axis: Improvement of consumption monitoring - collection of information

Tracking fuel consumption is a factor in economy and ecology at BOVIS. There is no direct impact of the collection of information on consumption, but the BOVIS company wishes to improve the monitoring of fuel consumption already in place by periodically reinforcing control over the entire group, allowing us to control the fluctuation of our drivers' consumption. This involves an innovative internal organisation, with the appointment of a consumption monitoring manager whose mission is to report all the information likely to have a significant impact on the environment.

Flow management axis: Raising awareness among road subcontractors

Aware of the impact that the transport of goods can have on the environment and in order to reduce the CO2 emissions of its subcontractors, customers, and other service providers, the company BOVIS wishes to offer to voluntarily commit to the EVE approach. This will allow us to have an exchange on the best practices we adopt to reduce our ecological impact related to transport. The gain related to this solution will depend on the reduction actions that the subcontractor chooses to put in place for the reduction actions. Feedback from the Objectif CO2 charter shows that for committed hauliers, the average gain is around 3%.

Join us in this initiative! Let's commit together to a greener, cleaner and healthier world. Together, we can make a difference!
