Precise Transfer of Ceramic Wall Panels, a Commitment to the Heritage of Longwy

Rousselot Manutention was recently asked to carry out a high-precision mission: the transfer of ceramic wall panels, the centrepiece of Longwy's heritage. This two-day project involved three specialized handlers, each of whom was perfectly trained in the handling of fragile and historical works.

Longwy, famous for its know-how in earthenware and ceramics, is home to unique pieces that the town strives to preserve. Prior to the opening of the new museum, a removal, transfer and storage operation was organised. This essential step is part of the rehabilitation of the space that will soon house these treasures.

A specialized team and precise know-how

The three handlers of Rousselot Manutention carried out the meticulous removal of the panels, ensuring that they were handled with the utmost care to avoid any damage. Each stage, from packaging to storage, has been designed to protect these fragile works, while respecting both the specifications of the ceramics and the constraints of the museum.

Storage before transfer to the new museum

After carefully dismantling the wall panels, the team proceeded to put them in temporary storage. This intermediate storage, essential to guarantee the safety of the works before their new exhibition, was carried out under controlled conditions.

The Rousselot Manutention agency has once again demonstrated its expertise in the delicate handling of historical and artistic pieces, contributing to the preservation of Longwy's heritage for future generations.

This project reflects Rousselot Manutention's commitment to offering a quality service with respect for works of art, while meeting the logistical requirements of cultural institutions.
