Industrial transfer with crane and handling of 10 tanks of 100 m3 in a dairy in the Vosges (88)

Another superb service carried out by our Rousselot Manutention agency in Nancy (54): the handling and installation of 10 vats of 100 m3 in a dairy in the Vosges (88).

Thanks to our latest generation lifting vehicles, we unloaded each of the tanks gently, with a perfectly prepared methodology. Once the tank arrives on its trailer, we unload it using our 60 tonne self-propelled crane and our Scania truck equipped with an 80 T/m crane arm. Thanks to this coordinated work and the great skill of our crane operators, the tanks are then raised to a vertical position.

Once positioned vertically, the tank is then lifted by our mobile crane, then positioned above a hopper in the roof of the dairy. The tank can then be lowered to the ground for installation in the production centre. The crane operator is in constant communication with the foreman inside the buildings, thanks to walkie-talkies. A basket positioned inside the dairy allows the lifting slings to be removed

The installation of the metal tanks in the dairy plant is a daunting task because each tank must be perfectly positioned according to the architect's plans of the project. Each tank has a very specific installation area. But Rousselot Manutention has all the necessary equipment for this delicate handling of great precision: our remote-controlled mouvers allow the most complex manoeuvres, in particularly cramped environments for masses to be transported up to more than 30 tonnes! The Bovis Group's metalwork department has manufactured specific tools to adapt the mouvers to the movement of industrial tanks.

The service mobilized a team of 5 specialized handlers for 3 days. The work was carried out in perfect safety.
