Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur
The service provided included various heavy handling operations by the Aero Engine Group. Our teams first took delivery of the new aero engines and exhausts and then delivered them to our customer's site in Cannes.
Respecting safety rules, our specialized handlers have first of all set up safety markings that meet standards. The service then took place in several stages fundamental to the success of this type of handling.
Removal of old power units
In order to allow the aeroplanes to roll, steel sheets were installed on the site of the site to create a runway adapted to the heavy loads involved in this specialized handling.
Our teams in Nice then removed the existing aero by means of a movement allowing a precise and fine handling of the different elements. After slinging the equipment, our crane operator then proceeded to crane the elements in order to load them onto our semi-trailer truck and transport it to our warehouses while waiting to be picked up by another carrier.
Delivery and handling of power units in Cannes
Once the old equipment had been removed from the site by the Bovis Côte d'Azur teams, our team of 4 men undertook the maintenance of the new aero units and their exhausts.
Then, they proceeded to crane the elements on our semi-trailer, transport them to the site and then deliver the crane equipment and route the power units by means of our movement on the runway set up beforehand. Finally, our teams carried out the crane on the roof on site using our 57T/m crane.
